Risk & Regulation Manager - Asia

The successful applicant will assist in enhancing the risk framework of the company. The successful candidate will get to interact, coordinate, collaborate with internal stakeholders from 9 other countries and learn a great deal about the business. They will analyse, manage and execute R&R programs, provide policy guidance and to carry out training for our colleagues.

  • Ensure all BCP and DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) documents are updated with the correct contact details;

  • Manage annual BCP (Business Continuity Plan) testing alongside the local teams for 9 countries within the Region;

  • Manage all Due Diligence (DD) questionnaires submitted by Clients by working closely with the relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely completion;

  • Undertake the Privacy Champion role for the Region having oversight of Data Subject Access Requests and Data Breaches;

  • Work closely with the International DPO and Compliance Leaders;

  • Review sanctions for the region managing any positive matches escalated;

  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in Risk & Regulation control and update horizon scanning radar documents;

  • Gain good and clear understanding of our policies and consider how to raise awareness of these through training, communication and awareness campaigns;

  • Risk oversight for the region;

  • Monitor and measure own project performance to identify areas for improvement;

  • Able to work within a dynamic environment in a prompt, agile and responsive manner;

  • Involvement in contract reviews, focusing on data protection and regulatory elements

  • Conflict of interest management

  • Financial crime and money laundering involvement

  • New vendor onboarding

  • Recording and management of professional indemnity claims against the business.

  • Other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title, at the Manager’s discretion.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Risk/ Regulation/ relevant experience;

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to be detailed and interpret and analyse information and data quickly and accurately

  • Conscientious, self-motivated, and hard working to achieve required results, as well as flexible and adaptable

  • Clear and conceptual thinking ability

  • Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Has the ability to build effective relationships

  • Honest and ethical

  • Very strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
